Jerry's Jerry Cepeda is a Jiu Jitsu purple belt under Ramiro Mota. He has been practicing the art since 2004. As captain of Team Mota, for Jerry, BJJ has become more than about catching arm locks and chokes; but rather it has been a reassuring lesson of family, self, hard work, and integrity. He shares his philosophy by teaching and assistant-coaching both Team Mota and the UIC BJJ Team, where his students are attracted to his humbleness, charisma and sense of humor.

picture of ramiro Ramiro's Ramiro Mota is a Jiu Jitsu black belt.He has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) for over 13 years and teaching for over 7 of those years. Ramiro is highly regarded and respected in the Chicagoland area as an instructor and coach and is known for his unique style and ability to teach all ages, sizes and genders. In the past, Ramiro has taught and trained with Pro Mixed Martial artists. In April 2009, he received his black belt under Rodrigo “Comprido” Medeiros of BRASA, a 7 time BJJ World Champion from Brazil owner/operator of FLO MMA in Palatine, IL. Ramiro is a part-time instructor at FLO and a full time instructor for his competition BJJ team, Team Mota. In August 2009, Ramiro brought the sport of BJJ to the University of Illinois at Chicago and thus created the UIC BJJ Team. Ramiro is also a beloved husband and father.

 picture of lyndon Lyndon Viteri is a Jiu Jitsu black belt. Lyndon practically studied martial arts his entire life beginning at a very young age. He was first taught Tae Kwon Do from his father, a third degree black belt. He then became a Jeet Kune Do practitioner and eventually discovered the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He began learning under Dino Costeas at POW Chicago where he also met and trained with Ramiro Mota. After, thirteen years of studying the art, he earned his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Lyndon is highly regarded by his students and fellow teammates not only for his knowledge and experience, but also for his positive personality, love for the growing sport, and his creative teaching style.
